The Process
Students participate in a variety of assessments to identify gaps in their learning which informs authentic rich learning experiences. With an identified focus, students will receive explicit instruction, with modelling and an explanation of what they need to learn and why they need to learn it. Students are provided with new knowledge in manageable chunks and learning is scaffolded to suit their needs. Students receive clear feedback and ongoing assessment throughout the learning process as they apply their new knowledge and practise new skills in set tasks. An assessment of learning is conducted at the end of learning experiences to make a judgement on student achievements against goals and standards.
Northern Illawarra Tuition can assist high school students studying HSC Music in NSW. We assist students in refining their skills in composition using music software and applying modern digital recording techniques to develop an understanding of the impact of technology on music.
Music
The process
1-1 lessons that explore with students how computer based technologies can be used to create music for film, tv, popular, rock and classical music. Students can then apply a sophisticated understanding of musical concepts in their own compositions, improving their aural skills and arrangements. Through this process, students gain a deeper understanding of using midi devices for composing and notating, recording, editing and mixing techniques that will enhance their final product.
Northern Illawarra Tuition has a functional studio space that can also be used as a space for students to complete assignments whilst receiving constructive feedback if requested.
